She is a treasure. If the stains were already soaked in, not much you can do, just let them be. I clean my marble tables and carved objects with dish soap and tap water, then use another towel soaked with distilled water to wipe the surface, then lightly buff with a dry towel.

I agree with carolb - the dark areas maybe should be dark to bring out the depth in features. Like shading in painting. Is that piece sitting on floor in front of chair or sofa? I thought it was a small table top sized piece but asking if it’s larger - like 2’ or so? Pretty piece.

Doh--I forgot to use a banana for scale when I placed on floor for photo. It's 11.5" high. It's displayed on a piano, across from a window but not in sunlight. I have no idea where SIL displayed it the last 40 years or where Grandma put it either.

I wouldn't do any more than that....objects like that are supposed to show their age. It's lovely.

If you want to pursue cleaning it, I'd contact a museum in your area to see if they can advise you. I agree,she is wonderful! I'd just want her toes cleaned, lol!
