I want to repaint a very dark brick fireplace to lighten up the look of the room. The walls are light grey. I don’t want to go with a white fireplace. What contrasting but light and airy colour could I painty the floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace? I’ve heard that grey is dated, but don’t want to paint the walls of the entire house at this time. Can I use beige on the fireplace and go with grey/beige/cream tones? Help! Ideas? Picture of current state.
