Thank you Meryl. Reimer's plants tend to remain good with their colors even in our heat but since he is in Arkansas, he has the same heat. I actually got Firecracker Orange on the Lily Auction from Abundant Lilies. They sell an awful lot of plants and the price is very doable. I think I gave about 20 or 25 for it and that is where I got Purple Pathways too. The others all came from Reimer but none were first year when I bought them. Like you, I love the oranges an d golds and I had to find Better Than Ice Cream after you posted it. I can so identify with a husband not appreciating the lilies since mine used to say the looked like Johnson grass when they were through blooming but he learned to enjoy the beauty as my collection grew and has even shared photos he had taken of them with friends. So maybe there is hope.

Beautiful! The rain does make them look good. Firecracker Orange is a new one to me. Mardi Gras Indian has the brightest orange color in our garden. Madera Gold has an interesting pattern and I love the shape and color of Pink Flamingo Leggins. Your garden shot is lovely. It looks like a great place to take a mug of tea and sit in the morning.

Thank you, Nancy, Reimer has several Orange ones, and, in fact I have another one that hasn't bloomed yet but hopefully will this year. You know I like the oranges like your husband and the brights also. An Muy Caliente is also a real favorite with its lovely intense color and so many blooms!

One thing all this rain has done is help intensify the colors I think. For some strange reason the blotching is less as well. Lovely garden photo. The Reimers are looking good. Great photo of Boss Hogg and Westbourn Naughty Girl Pet. Love the colors. Lots of pretties here!

Thank you, Kate and Debra. I agree. Kate and I took a photo of a perfect clump of Barbara Mandrell this morning and it is usually spotty.Boss Hogg has his more intense color which usually lightens during its bloom cycle.

Debra the ones you sent me last fall are doing so well, but I cannot get over how bloomiferous (not a word but should be) Perseus Sandals X Jumping Jack Flash is! I will be posting todayas lovely clump later today.

I've not seen Silly Wabbit before, but I really love it-and a great name, love Bugs Bunny! [another one for the list I don't have!] I also really like Mardi Gras Indian, Westbourn Naughty Girl Pet and Sugar Magnolia.

Thank you, Brad! I too like the name and think it goes with Silly Wabbit. I often like the names and will occasionally buy one if I like the plant fine but really like the name...Silly, but there it is. I too really like Mardi Gras Indian. The color is so intense and you know I love the bright onees. Naughty Girl Pet has been here for quitee a few years, but never rreally had a lot of room. I really need to move it and probably will after blooms are done. Sugar Magnolia is one that often strikes a pretty pose and is so photogenic. Your taste is great as I really like all of them As they increase, if you don't get them I will eventually sent you starts.

Hi Mantis. The two bicolors The top less vivid one in Clown Parade. the lower, brighter one is from Clown Parad which is my husband's favorite of all the daylilies in my garden. The lower, brighter one is Tears of a Clown from a cross of Clown Parade (pollen) and Marilyn Lee Boch.(pod)

All very pretty and I like the garden shot. I remember the days of live heading the blooms in the evenings so the garden would look fresh the next day. I give you kadoos for all those blooms you maintain so perfectly.

Thank you, Julia. We are having such non-stop rain that I have gotten few photos the last few days. And last night the bloom count was a ridiculous 977 blooms, almost a thousand which is over a hundred more than my highest previous count but I am sure of less than a handful of decent photos and it is the same this morning....I was outside taking photos when the rain started and I got wet, and who knows if the photos are good or not. Ah well, woes of gardening. But Tahiti Sweetie is tall and the dark color mine has never been; so pretty!
