which hibiscus do you mean, the tall shrub ”Rose of Sharon ” ( althea or hibiscus syriacus) or the perennial hibiscus moschetos ( sp ?)

dont know when your original was sold but there have been at leasrt two new releases of hibiscus moschetos in recent years. Rarely do nurseries return to propagating and releasing a ”discontinued” variety after sinking resources (advertising etc) into a newer snazzier version. I ve found Smaller bricks and mortar nurseries more likely to have older varieties of popular plants.

I had replied earlier but it seems like my reply went into the internet ether.

The Raspberry Rose hibiscus is a hardy hibiscus, not the Rose of Sharon type.

I linked to the nursery's page on it. They have now said they will restart propagating and selling it. I havent seen it offered for sale anywhere else.

It really was a remarkable hardy hibiscus in my previous garden - huge and floriferous.
