Palatine 2025 New Roses

We faced challenges to get our 2025 Palatine roses. Now let’s show some pictures, comments, etc. throughout the 2025 season of these coveted roses. Also, a big thank you to all of the rose forum members that helped us with our selections.

Here’s a few of mine:

JULIA

SIMPLY SAMANTHA

CHARLES DE GAULLE

BLUE GIRL

This is 4 out of 9 I ordered. One thing I noticed with my Palatine roses is that the foliage looks healthy, shiny, too. Charles De Gaulle and Blue Girl are fragrant!

I ordered five this year, and two were completely unknown to me. Here's Sweet Beauty (sport of Buxom Beauty):

Here are three pics of Sweet Delight, going from bud to blown:

I also got old faves Tiffany, Papa Meilland, and Dolly Parton since I wanted to try them on multiflora, which does well for me here, and never suckers (looking at you Dr. Huey). Here's Dolly, which I had never gotten a pic of in earlier years of growing it:

And I did like this one of Papa Meilland, which shows the black-ish red and veining that I love:

    All are ultra-fragrant :-D

So far, it seems that we all selected winners in our gardens.

Markay, I was tempted with Fur Elise and several more. Floral Fairytale and Litchkonigin Lucia have gorgeous, fresh colors.

Susan, you have a fragrant bunch with beautiful colors. I was wondering about Sweet Beauty. Is bloom similar to Buxom Beauty? We both got Sweet Delight and you captured the bloom in its stages. Dolly Parton and Papa Meilland add to the beautifully fragrant garden! I do love red.

Kentucky, my Buxom Beauty was a rooted cutting from a trading partner from a couple of years ago, and it honestly hasn't bloomed enough for me to be intimately familiar with it, as I am with most of my roses. It's still in a 2 gallon pot and needs to go up. And unfortunately, I have no pics of it. But whenever it blooms, I like its bloom and its fragrance is divine. I got Sweet Beauty primarily based on comments on HMF that it is maybe even better than BB :-D

Peach Melba is getting ready to open first blooms!

@Markay MD-Zone 7B – I really like Peach Melba. I bought her last season and planted her in the center of my rose bed on an obelisk. Mid-summer, the obelisk flew off and landed on top of the rose! It took quite some effort to separate them, and I ended up relocating the rose to an arch.

Gorgeous roses!! Palatine has been such a good vendor for so many of us. They were wonderful.

I got Perfumed Kiss and Raspberry Cupcake (doing exceptionally well for me) this year, but they haven't bloomed yet. RC is going to bloom fairly soon...lots of buds!!

@Markay MD – Zone 7B, beautiful first blooms! Peach Melba is my champion when it comes to pushing basal shoots — I’ve counted seven so far!

Elena & Markay, Peach Melba is a peachy winner! I can’t imagine being outdoors with all the ”peachy” fragrance.

Julie, Blue For You and Centifolia Variegata are winners, too. About how long are those blooms lasting?

Kristine, your Blue For You is beyond fabulous! It’s blue all over.

I haven’t seen one unhappy rose posted, all are winners! My Palatine rose bushes are continuing to grow good, too, with healthy, shiny foliage.

SoCal - your The Pride is exceptionally beautiful!!! Oh my!!! Mine is a one cane non-wonder. Last year it was better...spring has been hard on it. What do you think of the fragrance? Your Wellenspiel has such wonderful petal formation. SWOON!!!

Here’s some follow-up pictures of Blue Girl from today. Our temps are in the 90’s. Looks like she is going to be a producer, too!

    Below is Acropolis

I can see potential. Put the spray with a little lavender and Baby’s Breath, yields a nice little arrangement.

We are having extreme heat. My Blue Girl blooms are frying:

Below is a picture of Broceliande.’

I’m amazed how healthy the foliage looks.

  • last year

What a shame about the heat and your poor Blue Girl blooms. Your Broceliande is stunning!!! How does it handle the heat?

Rosecanadian, ty, Broceliande’ is doing good, but it is on the side of the house and more protected, sheltered from sun. Poor Blue Girl is out in the open, no protection in area I call Death Row. We’ve been in the 90’s this week.

Kentucky - Death row...yeah, that sounds like a tough place to thrive in. Maybe that area needs a huge sun screen-mesh thing. I hope your temps cool down.

Here’s Caramel Kiss. I’m sure the blooms will improve in time. Nice complex myrrh fragrance. The plant is huge (I wonder if it would behave similarly own root).

Dave, first blooms sometimes we see the potential. The color of Caramel Kiss is very pretty and fragrance is always a plus!
