More rain yesterday so again not much ”trouping the colors” in the garden! I did get this shot showing what I think is a peak photo

Probably my favorite combo in the garden: Mean Green and Royal Girls

I’m In Love lived in a pot for two years to put on fans and got it in the ground this spring-I think it likes ground better

That first photo is just breathtaking! I love the combo of Royal Girls and Mean Green. I'm in Love looks like a fantastic red. I had to look that one up since I'd never heard of it before.

So Persian Ruby, as a dormant, is not happy in MS? What a multitude of colors in your garden! Garden Butterfly is a beauty.

Unlike Sting with his fields of gold I dream of walking in fields of color like your photo. Beautiful! Last year I swapped with a friend, I got Humungosaur, but last year it bloomed and was Persian Ruby. I had Persian Ruby in my garden for years, and now found out mine was NOT Persian Ruby. My new plant is souch prettier, and I liked my old one. Added bonus, this spring fans of Humungosaurus bloomed. Now this fall I have to try to separate the 2. Garden Butterfly is really pretty. Tears of a Clown looks good too. I visited a friend's garden a few days ago who mentioned she did not like it. It was not blooming that day so I could not comment, but I will have to ask her. It looks so nice to me. But we have completely different tastes in flowers.

Apparently, Persian Ruby is not happy in my garden, Mantis!! Or maybe not happy in that spot. I would say I will move it but I am short on prepared spots right now!!

Julia, thank you. I take some garden shots every day to look at this winter when hopes of spring are buried in low temps!!

Nancy, I can identify with that sentiment! Walking in these fields of lilies makes my heart sing! Funny story about Persian Ruby. I have a similar situation with a plant whose scapes are barely 12 inches. Right in the middle of the plant is a 40 inch scape with an entirely different bloom.

I've thought about trialing Persian Ruby off and on over the years but never seemed to find the space. Its color is deep and velvety, but I have enough of the "short scape nice face" daylilies for now.......I'm in Love is a pretty thing, and the dark maroon color of Great Balls of Fire make it a stand out. Your field shot is "heavenly"..........Maryl
