this is about your size. the white theme is fine. its a question of the storage needs being met. get to a kitchen designer and see what your budget will allow in relation to details on the cabinets. if not much beyond basic cabinets then you can pick fancier hardware or a fancy light fixture , to make it feel personally yours. Does door mean a real door on hinges or simply an opening?

hanging or wall cabinets in the white kitchen shown have glass doors. that helps w less crowded or bulky feel on the walls. but all one color 1. white cabinets 2.counter and 3.backsplash makes a coordinated look and wont feel quite as crowded as you fear. A kitchen designer helps with ideas and getting the storage you need at the same time. Its true the kitchen is small ..... compromises are part of planning.

This is my kitchen walls so I don't need glass or mirror backsplash.
