There is no one right way of doing this.

My foyer 10' x 10' with 12 ft ceilings and I used three pendants, each 13W x 13D x 27H, so think your single fixture might be a bit narrow for the space. I would look for something a bit shorter, but wider.

I used these pendants, but used one size down from these in the photo and hung them the same way. My style is eclectic and I was looking to fill all that ceiling volume with the 12 ft ceilings.

This is out of my wheelhouse so thanks for the advice. I'll keep searching but keep this one in my back pocket in case I don't find one I like as well. I'm not sure if this would make a difference but there will also be wall sconces on each side of the foyer walls as well.
