Wednesday's flowers

last year

Another hot one here, but the garden was lovely.

Lonnie Nesvarba is much prettier than its picture in the database.

Love for Jesus has been pretty this year.

The next two have just started blooming for the season.

Saberback

Samsational

Spacecoast Fire Dragon is new to the garden.

I haven't been posting many seedlings this year. My mobility issue has made it difficult to get to the flowers. I need a replacement of my left hip and walking on uneven ground is rather difficult. I am planning on replacement surgery sometime in August. But I did get photos of these two seedlings.

I have shown photos of Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You. We have decided we will registered. Whether we sell it remains to be seen. It is a rather petite plant with a questionable bud count, but it will produce beautiful babies if crossed to a vigorous pod parent. Its growth is better this season than it has been before so we care cautious optimistic.

This seedling is another we are hoping to register. Its plant habit looks pretty good. It is Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine.

This seedling has a 4.25 inch flower. For some reason, I have had a hard time getting a nice photo of it. It has a great scape with about 24 buds. It is Broadway Smile X Laurelwood's Ankle Biter.

That's all for me.

Nancy, so sorry about the hip-never good for a gardener. Samsational has great color. The seedlings look good. Debra is correct-you do indeed create nice edges.

Nancy, those seedlings are gorgeous! Great color on all three. I had both hips replaced and then two torn tendons needed

fixing in my glutes. The hip surgery wasn’t too bad for me. On day eight I came down from my bedroom and walked around

The concrete walkway with my walker to see how things were doing. Just take it easy, do your exercises and PT and

you will be fine. Now torn gluteus tendons ……… not so much fun. Good luck with your surgery!

Thanks for the prayers and words of encouragement about the hip. I have already had 3 joint replacements--both knees and the right hip--so I sort of know the drill. My hip replacement was in 2012 and procedures have changed a bit. I spent three days in the hospital in 2012, but now, if everything goes well, I will go home the same day. That sounds crazy to me but it's ok since I hate hospitals. I am just looking forward to being able to get around the garden. I am so thankful that we have a John Deere gator.

I like the color of Lonnie Nesvarba, but wonder what the plant habit will be like. one notable in Ohio has badmouthed the Bush cultivars. I had no idea that you had so many joint issues, but repairs seem to have been effective.

I love Samsational and you enabled me right into it a couple of years ago. Love the color. Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine. is such a pretty one. and so is Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You Love For Jesus is another nice one. Pretty post, Nancy. Bless your heart, I am sorry about the hip and I am putting off having the knee done until after the season. It is killer, especially with all the walking so I feel for you.

The color on Samsational is so vibrant. I'm liking almost all of your seedlings. I think they will do well for you............Sorry about your hip. Same day surgery seems awfully quick, but I'm with you on hospitals. Just roll me around on a dolly as long as you can. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you will let us know when you go in so prayers and good wishes can be offered at the time.............Maryl

SAMSATIONAL has outstanding color. I really like your first two seedlings. I've heard that hip replacement is better than knee replacement. Best of luck come August.

Lots of pretties here. The two that wowed me the most are Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You and Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine. The bright colors with their toothy gold edges appeal to me.
