Timeless kitchen remodel idea

I'm looking to remodel this kitchen by replacing the counter, back splash, knobs and flooring. Suggest with images which looks best.

timeless? meaning these tweaks will take you forward for a period with no other adjustments??? or a set of changes to sell?? it just depends...we dont know... budget? your plans?? what are the adjacent spaces ?

hardwood floor is always timeless....these counters in a dark shade are fine/ timeless...but you might want to look at some granite options locally. people are putting in a lot of light counters but you've had that .

Do you know what makes a kitchen “timeless”. Can you show inspo pics of kitchens you consider “timeless”?

I’m not asking rhetorical questions.

If the answer is “no”, then you may not have much reason to think the changes you listed will achieve a ” timeless “ kitchen.

If the answer is ”yes”, then you probably already know if the changes will achieve a ” timeless “ kitchen.

You see, there is no such thing as a “timeless kitchen“ and the term itself is meaningless. There is only a kitchen that YOU like and that YOU think isn’t too trendy, isn’t too old fashioned, is ”just right”. It is subjective, like taste usually is.

Those cabinets are going to look even worse with a new counter. They are already in need of a deep clean, but the wear to my eye suggests they need to be refinished.

Consider just changing the flooring and backsplash for now.

The wood tone is neutral enough that anything goes. Can you give us an idea of your budget as well as some inspiration pics of spaces you like. It would help us steer you in a direction that actually has a chance of working for you. Can you afford granite, quartzite? Do you like quartz? Do you love or hate subway tiles, white, other colors? When you say timeless do you really mean classic or traditional? If so, it that because you enjoy that style or because you want something simple enough for resale?

The white countertop looks nice with the cabinets. To update the look I would replace the hardware and backsplash.

As to the floor, no idea what the adjacent rooms look like, it can be tiles or wood depending on your budget.
