Understood PPF. Unfortunately my kitchen is currently torn up, hold where the old fridge used to be; old fridge in the middle of the kitchen, boxes of packed-up kitchen supplies everywhere. I'll post once it's a bit cleared up, but this could take a while, unfortunately.

I get that your kitchen is torn apart but you won't get any specific color ideas until you show us specifically what you are dealing with. Find an uncluttered part of the kitchen floor, take a pic and post it. If your counters and cabinets are covered with plastic sheeting, pull some it back and post pics of the counters and the cabinets. Even if the room is torn apart, post a pic of it. Seeing how large the space is, how many windows there are, and what your lighting situation is will give us an idea of how bright the space is and what various shades will do for you.

We need a picture of the floor, the counter material, backsplash, and the cabinets in good lighting. We don’t really need to see the space if you don’t want to show it. Consider something other than tan, perhaps an accent color from your tile.
