Many of the late bloomers have started, but there are many that have yet to open their first bloom.

Crossfire is a late bloomer with its first flower today.

But Wait, There's More is showing its double face today.

Glowing Quasar

Heavenly Fireblaster has a rather tall scape with a small flower with a bright color.

It's Stops at Garage Sales

Sonoran Desert Rose

This is one of our favorite Noids.

The seedling for today is Fox Point X Horns. It's scape is probably at least 48 inhes.

I like the colors in your picture of But Wait, There's More. To me it looks like a soft salmon pink with a rose eye. I looked it up on the NGA and the color and form seem to shift quite a bit from poster to poster. You've got one of the prettier ones.........Crossfire is certainly a deep color. I bet our 96 degree heat today would change that........Maryl

Interesting about But Wait, There’s More. It showed its doubling trait here for the first time ever. It is a pretty color. It Stops At Garage Sales looks impressive and Crossfire is a dark color. Sonoran Desert Rose is always pretty.

Glowing Quasar is very nice here this year, living up to its name. I certainly like it, but bud count is always modest. Sonoran Desert Rose looks like an appealing flower and has been such a good parent for you.

Oddly, I think that the database pic of But Wait is the least accurate; and I've seen the plant several times in the hybridizer's garden. Not saying that it never looks like that, but didn't when I saw it (usually later in the day). And I have to add that though I initially really liked the flower, I find it rather blah now. That may partly be due to the bleaching effects of recent summers (it is in estate garden).

Maryl, there is always some variation in bloom pictures on the database. That usually results from different lighting and of course different locations. Also, sometimes just bad pics. What I find amusing is how people can upvote pics that are the least typical (and perhaps not at all representative).

I like your seedling, and your NOID. Clement comes up with some fun names and that is one too. Sonoran Desert Rose is a pretty one and I like the color of Crossfire.

Mantis, I agree that the photo of But Wait, There's More is not accurate. We never get that glowing orange look here. It's not my favorite color, but Bob really likes it.
