Rebloom Starting and Lates

Instant rebloom started on two daylilies today. Now that I have less than 20 daylilies with buds left, I'm wishing I'd brought more lates.

Such a Blaze started reblooming on one of its two instant rebloom scapes today. Flowers are larger, but rebloom scapes are shorter.

Pink Extraordinaire X $exy Samantha 3 started reblooming today. This scape is nearly as tall as the originals.

Judy's Jewel X Bubblegum Queen #1 is still blooming, although the sib with 18 buds has finished.

Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine still has several buds.

Late bloomer August Frost X Winter's Angel is just hitting its stride.

The late Miss Goldie Gold Digger is just starting to show multiple blooms.

I put this photo of Entwined in the Vine on the best budded thread, but I like it so well I'm posting it here as well. It's nearly impossible to photograph in full sun, but there were a few minutes of overcast sky in the afternoon.

Judy's Jewel X Bubblegum Queen #1 and Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine are my favorites of these. I also like Pink Extraordinaire X Bubblegum Queen 3 a lot as well. You have so many nice seedlings!

I agree with Brad. These seedlings are the winners in this bunch although Such a Blaze packs a punch!

Brad - Thanks for the seedling comments! I'm pretty thrilled that my seedlings are outperforming most of the registered daylilies here.

Kate - I do think Such a Blaze "packs a punch." Although I prefer white edged reds, the gold edged SAB draws me in every time.

The Grandma's Smile seedling has a deeper pink that stands out. Your others are nice too. I'm so glad someone is carrying on the mission of pink introductions......Miss Goldie Gold digger should appreciate the milder summers you have. Such a pretty shade of golden yellow..........Maryl

How nice Bubblegum Queen 3 has rebloom scapes! The photo of Entwined in the Vine does deserve another post, what a beauty!

Maryl - The Grandma's Smile seedlng is a darker pink than most of my others. It fades some when temps climb into the 90s but still has nice color at the end of the day. I'm interested in seeing if Miss Goldie will rebloom now that she's in 13 hours of sun a day. She rebloomed the first two years I had her in Nashville, but then the neighbors trees grew taller and wider. So she only got about 5 hours of sun and never rebloomed again.
