Salt, not necessarily the salt one puts on food. The plant Needs a good drink.

i used to live in an area whose tap water had a lot of salt. Periodically, we would flush the pots.

I use water condensed in the dehumidifier to water plants. I doubt there are many minerals in that. Could it be the new brand of potting soil I bought - Expert Gardener?

Why is it sitting so low in the pot? Does the potting medium drain quickly? I'm not familiar with the potting soil you used.

That seemed like the right depth to plant it. The soil stays moist fairly long. The potting soil is the WalMart brand.

Dehumidifier water.. how long have you been using it? And how clean is the unit? Just checking there.

But your potting soil might be too moisture retentive. Snake plants like something like a cactus or succulent mix more than a potting mix. So you might want to try repotting it again, but cut your potting mix with about a generous third of succulent/cactus mix.

That said, it does look like the symptoms of dry rather than wet. How much bigger is this pot than the last one? And why didn't you fill it that last inch with soil when planting? Or was it filled to the line and has now settled that much?

The amount of soil seemed like the right amount for the roots. It was transferred from a 6" pot to an 8" pot.

Ok, your soil should be 1-2" deeper than your root ball. Since the soil looks a little low in there, I'm going to assume the root ball was fairly small then. What condition was it in when you pulled it out of it's old pot? What was the root habit like?

Were you using the same dehumidifier water to water it in the old pot too?

It barely had roots, as it was an offshoot of another plant. I use dehumidifier water in the summer.
