Something like this light fixture could look good. Fresh update for a transitional type of bathroom like yours. Are the vanities paintable? In the 2nd bathroom pic, you could paint them white, and then maybe a refreshed almost white wall paint.

You mean lighting fixture or sink and toliet or faucets ? How much work are you willing or affording to do. I agree both are very dated they lack proper hidden storage but I need a lot more info to understand what it is you want. I also like chrome it adds a bit of sparkle and is timeless . But make sure whatever changes you make are decided only after you decide what it is you really want to do. I love the train racks for towels and if you get one that does not have a towel hanging on it over the tolilet is perfect then nice chrome hooks for towels .

Introduce contemporary vs modern, so that the flooring and counters still work. I’d treat each bathroom differently and suggestions are based on the counters.

I would tackle them one at a time - I would want a flat weave Ruggable to cover a fair bit of the flooring, painting the walls and vanity would give a fresh backdrop and then a big decluttering and reorg would go a long way. I would probably remove the builder’s mirror in the single sink bath and replace with a nice wall hung version

Below is a visual of my suggestions. Put together a white wood frame around your mirror with a contemporary light sconce above. All polished chrome accessories, a white shower curtain, white towels, and a few accessories.

Thanks everyone for the recs! Lots like Chrome, which i never have, but i guess I'm wrong. My goal was to update without gutting, which might come at a later date. Really appreciate all of your ideas.
