Quiet time with a few new blooms.

There isn’t much going on in the garden now. I do have a really late putting up scapes.

Late to the party opens a few blooms every day for the past week or so. The foliage looks great on this late while the daylilies that are done have had ratty foliage most of the season.

Honey Crunch Cupcake was added, bare root in the spring. It surprised me with three small scapes. Here is the first bloom. When it settles in i expect blooms with some rose pink and gold mixed with orange.

Ollalie Keith opened a bloom last week then took a rest, more to come.

My resurrection lily opened buds a few days ago.

Limelight hydrangea are blooming.

So nice to see your still getting daylily blooms. The double one, Honey Crunch Cupcake opens very good for you. I too have hydrangea blooming. Mine are called Pinky Winky and just in the last week or so started the color turn to pink. So dry here so I hope we do get some rain. Same for you?

Ollalie Keith was one of the last to bloom here. By that time we were in a dry no rain period and it rapidly bloomed out. The limelight is beautiful. It is one of my favorite hydrangeas.

Yes Julia, it has been dry here again. we did get 1/2 of rain last night after about 10 days with nothing. I have so much weeding to do…..anemia has kept me out of the garden….started treatment last week🤞🏻.

At least you are on treatment now. Waiting is tiring in itself. I sure hope the treatment does a world of good for you. How long do you have to go through it?....I think I have a few daylilies still blooming. I really haven't paid much attention. The temperature has been over 95 and all I can do is drag the hose around to water all the pots every day. We did get over 2 inches of rain Sunday night though. A day of rest for me.............I was just wondering if anyone else's "lilies" were opening. Mine are at peak. Here we call them "naked ladies" for the most part. Southern humor-lol.......I like your Late To The Party. Nice looking purple................Maryl

You have some pretty daylilies blooming now. The clump of Late to the Party is really nice, and Olallie Keith has a color I like. Today was the first day I didn't have any blooms. I still have a few buds out there, but none were open today. Sorry to see you have anemia. I hope the treatments will help you have more energy.

Maryl, I have four more treatments. Doc says i should start to feel better between the second and third……it is iron infusion.

Hope the dr is spot on about feeling better quickly. I am not sure I have heard of this before, so hoping the best for you. Nice to get your late blooms. My resurrection lilies are starting to bloom too. I enjoy them, but they sure multiply fast. I had huge clumps this spring, but not seeing a lot of bloom right now. More may shoot up soon, or maybe t he drought causing less bloom. Or need dividing.
