Dry wall dust and floor grout protection

Hi

The general contractor installed our porcelain floors and epoxy grout prior to finishing the dry wall He placed home depot heavy duty construction paper over the floor the paper is 20 mil thick Is this paper thick enough to prevent the grout from getting discolored by the dry wall dust?

Yes, no, maybe. The paper is sufficient, the person laying it out and the way it is laid out will determine more than the thickness of the paper. It will still require a good cleaning.
