No, call him back and have him remove it all, and redo it. He used the wrong nails. Nails should not come through like that, He used way too long of nails. Once its redone, then you can spackle all the nail holes he created. He should have known better. There is nothing you can do there now, unless, you decide to insulate the ceiling and put a either sheetrock, or planking in the ceiling. That osb patch is going to show up anyway, since, it appears you have plywood on the rest of the ceiling, and no amount of paint is going to match the difference in texture.

I would not pay for that.
