Advice on redesigning interior/exterior

Hi all,
We’re considering some updates to our home and would love your thoughts on how to improve natural light inside and create a stronger indoor-outdoor connection.
I’ve attached the ground floor plan and the site plan for context (the first floor has two rooms and a living area, which don’t need changes).
Some key details:
The main living areas (kitchen, dining, lounge) are on the ground floor.
There’s an outdoor covered entertaining area and deck, but the flow from indoors to outdoors doesn’t feel seamless at the moment.
The master bedroom is generous, but the central areas of the house don’t get as much natural light as we’d like.
The site orientation (see compass on site plan) may affect how light comes in throughout the day.
What we’re hoping for:
Ideas on how to reconfigure or open up walls/windows/doors to bring in more light.
Suggestions for extending or reworking the outdoor entertaining area to make it feel more connected with the kitchen/dining spaces.
Landscaping or exterior layout tweaks that could improve the sense of openness and flow.
Any other interior changes you’d recommend that could brighten the house and improve the indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
Keen to hear from people who’ve done similar projects or have design insight—what would you change here to make the home lighter, more open, and better integrated with the outdoor spaces?
Thanks in advance!
