yes, you can mix, a large format tile is always a great choice in a small space.

a glossy finish floor is a slip hazzard.

You would have to show the actual tiles for anyone to be able to answer that question.

I only have one of each large tile laying on the floor, I‘m undecided as to whether to put shiny or honed. shiny in shower. the honed is on lthe left>

Honed/matte on the floors and glossy/polished on the walls.

I did use a polished/glossy porcelain tile on the floor in my formal powder room, but there should never be water puddles on the floor and 99% of guests using the powder room will be wearing shoes.

I am using a 3x12 tile on shower wall and a mosaic matte tile on the shower floor. the rest of the master floor will be a 24x48 italian porceline tile. the shower has a centre drain. also a stand alone tub will be used. i prefer shiny porceline but it appears matte would make more sense due to being slippery.thank you Simon Templeton
