I love this rose, but my Jesse had snow weight breakage last winter and is still recovering.

Yes, Jeri, Jesse made it through heavy wet snow at least 6 inches, but did have limbs broken as did some other Teas. They had retained foliage which caused more snow accumulation. Mrs BR Cant, and General Schablikine too were among the worst hit. Jesse had had a perfect shape. Now, I'll just have to wait and hope.

The lineage of Cornelia Cook seems right on -- definitely a contender. I agree study names are often evocative -- the grave of "Jesse Hildreth" touches a chord and the Westside Road of "Westside Road Cream Tea" which runs south from Healdsburg and then along the Russian River just north of Santa Rosa, is full of memories for me.
