Conifer addition ideas?

I’ve been working on building my front landscape over the past few years with Japanese maples, boxwood mounds, and other plantings reminiscent of Japanese garden design.

I’m at the next phase where I’d like to start strategically placing various upright conifer specimens (arborvitae, juniper, etc) sporadically to create more depth, density, and act as a screen.

We’re not allowed tall hedges in front of our homes in my township, so I’d like to work around this and figure out where to dot in some various conifers. I don’t want to completely block out the front of the house but I’d like to have a bit more density and obscure the view from the street a bit more.

I’m posting to gather inspiration and different ideas on the types of conifers to plant, how many, and the placement. I’m also open to adding more Japanese maples but I prefer more evergreen to balance things out.

Or, maybe because my landscape is still relatively young, the consensus here would be by adding more “stuff” it would be too cluttered and I currently have enough?

I live on the edge of Zone 5 / 6 in the Great Lakes region.

Thank you in advance for your opinion and ideas.
