Goodbye September...hello Rabbits!

Can you believe September is over already???

Tomorrow is the 1st of the month and if the first words out of your mouth are "rabbit rabbit" you'll have good luck all month. Anytime after midnight is fine and no need to say it to anyone.

Best of luck to all!

    Well, that went fast.

It's still summer here...80s in the day, in the 60s at night, so in my mind it's July.

So scary how fast the days fly by. I have a milestone birthday in a few days and I can't believe how old I will be. It's weird, but I've started thinking about my mortality, not in a morbid or fearful way, but just as a milestone. For instance, I bought a new car and I thought, "Well, that's probably the last car I will buy." I had a similar thought when I bought a new washer and dryer.

Today I made an appointment on-line for our flu and covid shots at CVS - easy, could have gone this afternoon but we're going on Friday morning. When I went to write it down in our calendar I noticed that DH has a dentist appointment tomorrow morning so I reminded him of that. He said "No, I don't have an appointment until October" and I had to tell him that tomorrow is October 1st!

oh Seagrass! I did the same thing today - and I can't believe I was so obtuse. We're going away for a few days and I was trying to place an online Hold Mail with the Post Office. The entire September calendar was greyed out and for a few moments I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let me input the dates. Then I realized that I needed the October calendar.

Where on earth did September go?

I just woke up and it is a good thing I looked at this thread. I forgot about Rabbit Rabbit … I’ll stay up for 26 more minutes then shout it at DH … 😂 I said it loudly at 12:05 and DH mumbled it back. So we are covered by ” Rabbit Rabbit Insurance”. At least the monthly premium hasn’t gone up. 😳

Woke up at 4 am and said it...then said it to DH who responded when he got up, so we're good for another month!

I remembered!…didn’t help for Sept., maybe I need multiple months in a row?!

Hahaha Sueb...as I always say, you don't know how much worse it might've been had you *not* said it.

I said it, too, this morning without even seeing this thread. Annie, your reach is far.

Fun, happiest of days for you coming up. Your post reminded me of a friend’s dad who started buying travel-size containers of toilletries in his 80s. Not out of fear, just practicality.

Hahah...as George Burns used to say, he was so old, he wouldn't buy green bananas!

@Feathers11, thanks for the good wishes and the smile from your friend's dad's actions.
