Window treatment ideas for window over window
In my dining room there are 4 windows, and I can’t figure out the best way to soften the area with drapes or curtains. Different curtains for top two windows versus lower longer windows? Any design help is appreciated. The room has a 10 foot ceiling. Thanks in advance.

last monthlast modified: last monthI’d treat them as 2 vs 4 windows and for a more finished look, frame in sides/top/bottom (not below top window or above the lower one, so blinds lie flat). Add lined roman blinds to eliminate the light difference between wall/window. When leaving open, keep in the lower window. Unfortunately, I don’t think the wall on the left and windows’ overall placement can accommodate drapery panels feeling balanced.

PROlast monthTreat it as one bank of windows. As if the top and bottom window are one. Do outside mounted roman shades that can be functional or not. If you need shades for light and privacy make them functional so they can replace what you have. The goal is to cover the space between the top and bottom window to make it disappear. Mount the drapery panels 3" below the ceiling on a single rod. This is a rough exacmple but it would be minus your existing shades.
last monthDo you need light control and or privacy? no room for drapes, I would make a patterned fabric roman blind to add color and softness.
No trim to interfer with the lay.
