I don't think it would look any better or worse if it is a wall hung vs standard vanity. When we had a wall hung vanity installed, we needed to have backing inside the wall to take the weight. I don't know if that is common for all wall hung vanities. If so, then it sounds like a standard vanity is easiest for your situation.

There are vendors on Etsy that have antique dressers in stock, refurbished to accommodate plumbing and will add in a countertop and faucet for you. They can make the countertop overhang to fit. The one pictured here is listed as 61" - 66" wide. Red Barn Antiques has an 8 week turn around. You may be looking for something sooner though. Perhaps other vendors have a shorter timeline.

Birch Lane has some nice ones. Would you consider a 42 inch.? It will give a nice amount of room on either side.
