They are not too light but you have WAY too much bulk in furiture in the room. Trip hazzards everywhere. Eliminate the chair to the left. Place the two maching ones so their backs are to the camera. Get rid of the round coffee table. Use a narrow (rectangular) side table for the lamp that comes to the arm of the sofa. Good luck

I’m not a pro, but this looks like a fun, funky, cozy space that I would want to spend time in. Keep as is!

Remove the brown throw and the tiny antique gold chair and then take a picture. I think you'll see in that picture that these chairs look great in here. It is a small space the the open wood arms help lighten up the look. The wood adds texture. And without the gold chair and brown throw, the room leans lighter and these chairs are a great part of it.

I like the chairs and think they look fine. I'm curious if there might be a better layout though. Where do the doors behind the chairs lead to? I'd be tempted to put the couch under the other window, the chairs where the couch is now with the lamp between them and then the little chair by the mirrored doors so it can be moved more easily when the door needs to be accessed.

That may work! Let me try to switch things over. The French doors behind the chairs open to the family room. They stay closed because there are 2 other double French doors that lead to this small “sunroom”. The doors behind the small antique chair lead to the patio and is functional. Unfortunately that limits the seating area.

How many people do you think are actually going to sit in here together at the same time? It seems a cramped space for four bodies to maneuver in and you have other gathering areas of your home.

Keep the sofa where it is. Use one West Elm chair floating near the right side of the French doors and angled towards the sofa. No small antique chair. Return the other West Elm chair. You can still seat three with a much easier walkway to the sofa and functional access to the patio.

Any chance you'd like sheer curtains on your French doors to the family room? You will still be able to see through to the room, but you'll reduce all of the visual information coming at you. I think it would make this space feel more serene.

The sheer curtains are such a great idea. I hadn’t thought about that because these French doors are the only direct out light to my family room.

I'm assuming you don't entertain a crowd in here? I like all 3 chairs where they are; it will look unbalanced without the small chair. "Tripping hazards"? Really? People walking to the couch have plenty of room to walk; it's not a pass through.

I think the bare windows look wonderful, light and bright. It's really a lovely space. Leave it alone!!
