Sometimes, USPS is fine. Other times, they fail. I was travelling recently and had placed my mail on hold. While I was away, a package was delivered supposedly to my mailbox according to informed delivery, but I figured it would get held. When I came home and the mail hold expired, not only did my held mail not show up, neither did the package. I printed all of the information and took it to my local post office. They said a supervisor would call me. That was two days ago and I haven't heard from them. I guess we will see if they find the package. It's a good thing that none of the held mail was important since it all seems to be missing.

A recent USPS priority mail package began its journey to me in Vermont, then Massachusetts then Delaware (so close!) Then New Orleans, then Texas, then back to Delaware and finally to my house.

Post office called, said they 'accidentally' marked it delivered yesterday. They delivered it this afternoon.

I no longer trust the post office with anything important or that must be delivered on time. In that case I use Fedex or UPS.

We used to have the same mail carrier for years and the mail came at the same time every dsy. Now the mail carrier and the delivery time are anybody’s guess.
