My suggestion is to paint the front door and sidelights (because it is a one piece install) a complimentary color for the siding. You could go with the shingle color.

No. They are not appropriate for the window sizes, and you already have a lot of visual elements breaking up the front of the house. Part of great design is knowing when to stop. Sounds like you know.

I would try out some colors on your front door (SW has a paint visualizer - I don't know how well it works) - or Chatgp (I've never used it - but it appears that many people like it). Then you can decide whether to leave the door/sidelights white (like the trim) - or provide a nice "punch" of color. I don't know if painting the door/sidelights would make your house too busy?

I like Judy's idea of an earthy tone for the front door...the shakes color or something like it lets all the white trim stand out.

You could mount the shutters and match the door to them...it's a very nice color.
