My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

I love my rooster lamp.






DH is going to change out the cord and plug for somethign retro

    And my kids will be very happy that it was vintage, and I am very happy it was only $100! Shade was $160.


    I am going to send a pic to my good friend, who has my old (brown) rooster lamp that I gave her when we moved from our first house!

      Thank you. The plates were a vintage find at a local thrift shop.


      I do not know what the counter is but it is lighter than soapstone in color. It reminds me a bit of HS chemistry labs. It is not even really a counter, it is the top to a buffet i guess you would call it, which we had custom made after the Mousehole kitchen. It rolls out on hidden casters.


      My DH was dropping something off at the upholsters' when he saw this remnant at the place next door, and brought it home on approval.


      You are great at taking quick action when you decide to do something. Just terribly impatient. Sometimes, it is a superpower.

      If there's a plus to shorter days, it's seeing a pretty lamp lighting up a dark corner of a room. Highlighting those beautiful plates. Love how it turned out! 🌟
