I would add some shelves and include things that you would use on the dining table.

a light for ambient light in the room.

just a side note, you have a nicely finished edge ceiling, perfect to add a paint color. how about the pale blue of the alcove to show off the dramatic light fixture?

I’d play up the unique alcove. Suggest glass shelves vs wood so wall’s finish is still appreciated.

Large art on the long wall would be a nice addition. Have you tried table vertically?

In the OP’s other thread multiple people suggested switching thr table.

I looked at your other thread and you said you want the table crosswise in the room because you say the room is widest that way. But if you take out the space for walking beside the table to the doorway next to the buffet, you actually have the most space lengthwise. The table should be switched to run the other way, as everyone has suggested.
