They are both nice, but forced to choose, I would choose the bottom one, just because the plate looks more "special occasion." I do like the napkin with a napkin ring in the first setting, tho.

Yes, both are very nice but I would choose the top one as I'm drawn to the natural warmth of it.

While I like B better overall, I think A is more appropriate for Thanksgiving.

FWIW, I like to do fancy folded napkins - there are lots of tutorials online - and of course Martha Stewart has some nice ones.

Napkin rings? Gee, thanks, now I have to put back the pretty paper napkins that are on Grandmother’s vintage damask table cloths and put out the damask. And find some pretty ribbon.

(I’ve been using my christening gift napkin ring for everyday, and I have my dad’s, but I think that’s all I have that is seasonal. I have spring and Christmas, that’s all.

I think it partly depends on your style of entertaining, and maybe how formal your room is? I prefer A because it would work better in my house LOL but if you’re fancier, B would work. A seems ”friendly” to me. B scares me a little. 😆

I am definitely team napkin ring! I must have about 8 or 9 sets. Most were purchased at estate sales or flea markets.

I like the plates in a better. It‘s the ring with a napkin fanned out look that i avoid

I've been out running errands all day so I'm only now reading this post. I like both looks. I agree that the brown seems to represent an autumnal look best. The gold could look terrific for Christmas or New Year's...such pretty plates.
