Paint or stain?

10 months ago

I've almost finished sanding these ceiling beams down ( pictures to follow) I'd like to paint them a soft white or stain them with a clear coat but can't decide. This room is only 9 foot wide and it might be better to blend into the ceiling? Thanks!
