Shower wall repair

We have water damage in our new condo from bathroom from my daughter taking long showers and splashing the water out. I did adjust the door water guide to help but any other suggestions? I think the underlying drywall is ok since this is a new problem. Any inexpensive solutions? Should we just repair and hope it doesn’t happen again? Extend tile up that small half wall? Any shower guard that works?

Unless your daughter is showering with the shower door open, I don’t understand how that much water is being splashed outside of the shower enclosure.

Have you run the shower for awhile to observe whether there are leaks in the enclosure?

Do you have adequate bathroom ventilation and is it being run after each and every shower for 15-30 minutes?

The shower head is on the opposite wall. I think what happened is the plastic guard on the door fell off. When I replaced it there was a gap in the door and water comes out that way. I think it’s fixed now
