Hope everyone is getting ready to enjoy a wonderful holiday. Meadow and her puppies will be at my house here in a Houston suburb for another week and then they are headed to Austin with my daughter. We have a few applications for puppies (DS and his gf may adopt one!). We still have at least six puppies who need homes but we don't have any applications for Meadow. If you live anywhere close to Houston (within 4-5 hours) and know of any exceptional homes for Meadow or one of her pups, please let me know. I am more than happy to drive them somewhere for just the right home. I can send more pics and videos privately. We have 5 girls and 4 boys. They will be 8 weeks old on Jan. 5th, and available after that.

Meet Meadow — the brave mama dog rescued by Jack Jack’s Pack in Austin in early November. After surviving months on the streets and carrying a bullet in her chest, Meadow still managed to bring twelve puppies safely to term. Against all odds, she did everything right.

We’ve been fostering Meadow and her babies for just over six weeks now, and it’s time to find this incredible girl the soft, loving place she truly deserves.

The vet estimates Meadow is around 4 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She’s a total couch potato—happy to lounge nearby and just be with her people. She’ll occasionally surprise you with a quick burst of zoomies, but mostly she’s calm, gentle, and affectionate. In all this time, we’ve only heard her bark twice. Even when our own dogs (kept separate) are barking their heads off in another room, Meadow couldn’t be less interested.

She’s been a wonderful, attentive mother, eats well, and politely lets us know when she needs to go outside. Every morning, she greets us with kisses. Truly, she doesn’t have a single bad habit—just an exceptionally sweet soul.

It’s clear Meadow had a home at some point. She knows how to sit and is completely comfortable living indoors. We’re unsure how much leash experience she has, as we’ve kept her safely in our yard while she finishes vaccinations.
