What type of advice are you looking for? You can change all the window coverings if that is what you want.

with your modern setting and great natural light, I'd play up on the neutral theme.

Leave the blinds for provacy and light control, layer over with pinch pleat drapery panels to soften the look. Keep it simple, don't crowd the space. Get what you need and will use, not a lot of extra.

Sorry I have no idea what you want except to cover the blinds . Why ? The rooms are empty except for what could be real plants but I do not think so . Window coverings are usually dealt with later after some furniture is in and starts to give us a hint of your style.

You have no furniture, and you are worried on "Hiding Blinds? What is the question? Why "Hide" them when you can replace with something else, based on your style, which is not evident as we see nothing but plant life ?

I hid several windows of vertical blinds with wooden valances DH made, paired with stationary curtains where the blinds stack. RARELY use the blinds but when we do they do the trick. Why not replace them ya ask? $$$$$$$. When you use something rarely, can hide them and their function is just the ticket, we've never prioritized swapping them out.

People on here can be short and snappy for sure. But they just really want to help and are frustrated by posts like this where not enough info is provided to actually help you. Nobody is a mind reader and it is not clear what you are asking.

" We are just moving in"

    I will ask.......

How do we know that from the question which was "hide the blinds" "Looking for modern decorating"

Window treatments relate to interior decor, not just privacy and the obvious light control issues. . We have NO sense , beyond plants, and counter stools at an island what that would entail for you.

We don'[t know if you want to hide the vertical blind in the other picture or just the breakfast area.

We don't know YOUR definition of "Modern" . You don't have an inspo pic, / information on what your style would be. We don't know if you have SOME furnishings or you own nearly nothing.

There are no mind readers here: ) When you add context, you will find FRESH, lovely ideas come your way, and they will be useful as you see fit. : )

It's the internet, Houzz ( this forum )incredibly helpful, but it isn't a case miracle of mind reading, although Google may attempt that quite often..... as you type a mere two letters...?

    Add context....

Seems more like an AI prompt than a question for human beings - betting there is a lot more of this on the horizon

I would hide all those blinds in the trash! I dislike horizontal and vertical slat-blinds, so I would get a feel for the movement of the sun on this property over the next few months, decide what function I need from window treatments and then purchase new one that meet those needs (light control, heat gain control, privacy, room darkening, etc.).
