I enjoyed Ladies of Letters and will have to check out Jerry and Marge Go Large. I'm assuming it's on prime?

Prime now has several seasons of the UK version of Location, Location, Location and Love It or List It. I love watching Phil and Kirstie for relaxation. I can fast-forward through the repetitive parts.

Oh, Location…and Love it or List it, Phil and Kirstie are so fun to watch.

We got Jerry and Marge Go Large on CD from the library. I hope it would stream somewhere, otherwise take a look at your library website for availability. Jerry is newly retired and has an innate eye for math, logic, and patterns. He and Marge figure out a flaw in the lottery that would enable them to, legally, win every time they play. Based, or inspired by, true events.

American Masters on PBS has a new episode celebrating Dick Van Dyke - we really enjoyed it 🙂

I may have to pull back on my rec for Ladies of Letters. The first season was one thing, the second season is a little too outrageously unlikely.

Not for everyone but if you enjoy Stephen King, we enjoyed IT: Welcome to Derry. It’s a bit intense but pretty well done. HBO Max. We also started The Diplomat with Keri Russell on Netflix and will pick that back up. Also, for anyone interested, the most recent Wicked is available on Am video for rent or purchase.

The me tion of Derry reminded me of one of my all time favorites — Derry Girls. I laughed until I thought my sides would split. Its on Netflix.

I’m so happy to see that The Diplomat has been renewed for a 4th season. I’m not happy to see that the proposed release date is late 2026 or early 2027. My NYE treat to myself was watching the last episode of Season 3.

We enjoyed the first season of Diplomat but after that we couldn’t get into it. I think there was too long a break.

I agree, @bpath, the break was too long. I think the writers’ strike figured into the length of the break.

Ded, I need to revisit Derry Girls. I don't recall why I didn't start it, but it looked really fun and entertaining.

I don't watch much tv and never seem to find anything worthwhile. I just finished season 2 of Landman, and it wasn't nearly as good as season 1. But I do appreciate the casting of Sam Elliott as Billy Bob Thornton's father. I've always liked Elliott. Their physiques and demeanors are believable as father/son.

Mtn, one of my mom’s caregivers watched Hallmark and Lifetime movies all day. Id go over there and get sucked into them too. Bubble gum for the brain.

I watched Nasty Little Letters on NYE after DH went to bed before 9 and I needed something on for both sound diversion and amusement while I brushed Lulu and tried to keep her calm. She shook the whole time. But it was an interesting little who done it and I enjoyed watching the characters develop -- mostly women. The language is part of the story so you have to be okay with that or you won't get to the heart of the story.

We also watched Come From Away on Apple TV. I think I may watch it again. My youngest saw this cast and had a workshop with one of the actors and choreographers just before the pandemic. The taping was the first performance after the shutdown - with all the audience in masks. There is so much percolating in the background. Get your drink or snacks, go to the bathroom -- it never lets up and there is no intermission.

We enjoyed Come From Away on AppleTV also. Our NY Day treat was watching Hamilton on Disney+.

The Ballad of Wallis Island is sweet movie. I think we watched it on Apple.

The Pitt! Season 2 begins 1/8.

Yes, I originally thought Welcome to Derry was about Derry Girls lol. I would love to see more from Derry Girls spinoffs. That was a great series.
