I first suggest you upholster the 2 armchairs in the same colour and place the small table between them. Here's are my suggestions...

@darbuka Thank you for your arvice. unfo unfortunatel, there are few stores wvailable where live. Further , many only carry a few selections, hence, we are still relegated to order on their website etc.

@lisedv I love what you did, thank you so much, I didnt think decor above cabinets as you show, is recommended. Whenever, Inread about above cabinet decor, the suggestions are always leave it bare.

I think lisedv gave you good advice. I'm sorry you can't give stools a sit-try before buying. So, before ordering chairs, I recommend you check the return policy! You don't want to get stuck with something uncomfortable.

I was going to ask why on earth you wanted white upholstery on a kitchen stool, and then I remembered that I have white stools! (And I love them.) 😀

of the options, I would choose the cane back. to compliment the chairs you already have.

This is a wall decor not something sitting on top of the cabinets which I wouldn't recommend. With your high ceiling I thinks this could work and be interesting.

I like the non-matched tufted chairs. That was the first thing I noticed when I glanced at this post earlier. I thought it was a nice look- and it also appears that you have at least one other pinkish chair in the setup.

At any rate, I would not be spending money on reupholstering - but it’s not my money. I think the chairs are fine- and actually better than fine. If I wanted to connect the dots more, a pillow or a throw on the white chair would be my answer. And it would really be the same answer even if anyone here volunteered to foot the bill for the reupholstering... because, I like the existing mix.

As far as the counter stools:

I like all of your choices. This one looks like it might possibly be the most comfortable. And I think could also be a nice soft elegant look in the space.

I’d go for option three. First two feel a bit modern/midcentury for a traditional room. The lightness of the cushion will help balance the dark cabinetry.

I was lookibg at the wtools you suggesfed, bit wonder if tbey would be too hescy or look out of place, given the more traditional dining chairs.

Just another vote for the ideas from @freedomplace1 to find some patterned pillows that pull together all the colors

for stools it’s personal style - can you do upholstered or do you have kids, pet considerations? we have gotten 2 different sets from CB2 and been super happy with them

Now that I see more of your living room, here are my suggestions. I would keep all of your wood/cane armchairs in the different colours (I had suggested differently above in my mock-up for the stools). Bring the 2 armchairs under the large frame slightly closer together, remove the accent pillows from all wood/cane armchairs, creamy white ones would look nice on the pink armchairs, and a combination of plain/stripe/print in the colours of your rug/chairs would look nice on the sofa. Place the coffee table parallel to the sofa. A table lamp in the corner would look better than having 2 floor lamps.

DH who is super picky prefers the wooden back, whixh I do like. However, I also like the cane back stools. Will cane stools be too much with rest of cane furniture? So, I am torn between the 2 styles.

My preference is to have stools with overall height which do not exceed the counter 36”.
