New Year, what is next

I also went backwards a little to explain why I haven't been posting. Though I am not really sure what is next. I have been talking to a coworker about moving forward with his situation in the new year, and I realize that I need to move forward too. I think that I need to do my best to follow my own advice.

Good luck Brandon going forward. Eat healthfully. Start an exercise program. Get all the support you can. Life will get better.

Brandon, that was heartbreaking to listen to. I wish you the very best for the future. I hope that you can find a supportive therapist to help you work through this incredibly difficult time. Even if you don't believe in such things, it can really make a difference to have someone to talk with to help sort out your thoughts and feelings at this time. It will get better.

    Brandon,

So good to hear from you. You are going to come through all these horrible events in your life with flying colors. Be patient, and all the good in store for you will come to pass, and you will be amazed at how remarkable the new Brandon will be.

    Moses.

Brandon, I hope you are kind to yourself. That's a lot of change for one year, but it sounds like they are changes that ultimately serve your long-term well-being. So, good for you for making the leap, and for pushing through this hard patch to make it to the other side. I'm sure your garden will come back to you more fully someday. I know it must be hard to not be able to practice your passion for gardening as you'd like, though. I do find the change in the year to be helpful for mentally putting a bookend on harder times and feeling more hopeful about the year ahead. That's how I'm trying to think about 2026.

We're thinking about you Brandon and hoping you can come to a balance of peace in the upcoming year. I find that gardening is healing though I agree that having someone to talk to is very valuable to get perspective on everything. One of my favorite quotes is, "Gardening is a way of believing in tomorrow". That can apply for a tiny balcony garden or even houseplants. There is research that a few houseplants can increase our mood, though obviously they're not a cure-all. Going for a walk has similar benefit of green time as well as movement that can help a little.

I guess the point is to trust that your future is going to be better and we'll help hold onto that hope for you as well. In the meantime, be good to yourself and take baby steps of positive acts for your own gradual healing over time.
