Not a fan of foot controls either. I’m a traditional faucet user, but you do you. I turn on my sink before I get my hands raw chicken-y, and more important to food hygiene, I wash my faucet, sink, and handles regularly so I really don't get any of this trend. The motion sensor faucets have gotten terrible reviews pretty much since they debuted.

We have a touch-activated faucet in our kitchen and I think it's terrific. You can use a forearm or elbow or whatever and touch it pretty much where-ever to turn it on and off. We hard-wired it, so no batteries to change out. It's a Deltra Trinsic with Touch20 Technology.

This foot/toe activated system was very popular on this forum years ago. You can probably search for old discussions to get reviews/feedback. It works with most faucets.

I hav a tapmaster, which I really like. It was easy to install and has held up well. However it does cause confusion when ever a guest comes over. I have the model with the metal plate that you press to get the water flowing. I would recommend it over the motion sensor faucet.

We are also Tapmaster fans and have 4 Tapmasters in our current home - 2 Euro pedal models for our sinks and 2 floating vanity models in our primary bathroom. We chose not to install a Tapmaster in our guest bathroom which is located next to our kitchen b/c as @kiniyagirl mentioned, guests get confused and I didn't want someone to skip washing their hands after using the bathroom! ;-)

In our prior home, we chose the metal plate model. In our current home, we chose the Euro pedal model b/c it takes less effort to than the metal plate model. That said, we've had to replace the pin on the Euro pedal model a few times in the 13+ years we've had them in our current home.

The warranty service is awesome, and parts are easy to obtain under warranty at no cost. Be sure to register your unit within 5 years of purchase. Otherwise, the warranty term is 5 years instead of 10 years.

I cook more than the average person, and I make wedding cakes. I don't see a no-hands tap as a need in any way. Instead, go with something that'll allow you to turn on the faucet with your wrist -- or just go ahead and touch it and clean it after cooking.

We live in a drought prone state and I find we use much less water with our Tapmasters than without them.

One reason I added them to our bathroom faucets is because it drove me bonkers when my husband let the water run while shaving/brushing his teeth.

The Tapmaste prevents you from aimlessly running water since an action is required to run water.

I save/collect water from washing veggies at my kitchen sink and collect rain water in a water barrel to water my potted plants/veggies. YMMV. 😆
