it's a personal choice. Mitered may more expensive, but it depends on your personal taste.

Do you want it to be a design statement? Have you looked at the finished options of each, or are you relying on your fabricators opinions?

I personally prefer an eased edge on a back wall of cabinets, and a mitered edge on an island where it will be more of a focal point.

If the eased edge is 2 cm, thickness of my countertop, my fabricator said the 3/4" gap above the door/drawer will show (circled in red in picture below). A mitered or double edge (4 cm) will cover the gap.

Would that look nice if the gap is not covered?
