Are you asking how far the tile should extend into the entry area, or where the transition to the other flooring should be? It’s a little hard to tell from the post.

What is wrong with the tile there now?

Thinking a 24x24 in the center with 6x12 around the perimeter. Something neutral and easy to clean.

Sorry, looking to replace the tile there and wanted some recommendations. We’ve refreshed the rest of the house — the current tile is pretty beat up.

Lots of possibilities. What is going on the rest of the house? Think about other colors you have throughout the house and not just the paint in that small area, and that will narrow down color choices. Whatever you get, make sure it's textured -- last thing you want there is a smooth, slippery tile.
