My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Yes, don't plant it. It's aggressive and will take over. Hard to get rid of too. Only place for it if you have to have it is on the edge of woods far from any plantings you care about. And even then it will show up where you least want it.
Thanks for sharing your insights. I have a small, enclosed bed in 7b. It's full sun, southwest sloping, but by year two of this new border I expect there to be nearly full canopy enclosure above the soil. I also plan to deadhead the flowers to prevent it seeding around. Perhaps I will have to manage it when it spreads to some of the parts of my bed that have smaller perennials, especially in year two.
