Hello! We used 5 units "cassettes" of various sizes throughout the house. There are three floors including the finished space under the roof. For the bathrooms, we installed whisper-quiet in-wall fans from Tjerndlund that can be temperature activated. These are Mitsubishi mini-splits - very quiet when on an external wall. They use a small pump on internal units to remove the condensation and that makes a little rrrclick which is not appropriate for a bedroom. I've attached the Tjerndlund info for your reference. erlizard, I don't have a picture of the outside units readily available, but the piping was tucked into an articulation on the outside wall on the back of the house. We were going to put a cedar cover around the articulation but it was quite discrete in its location so it was left alone.
