I think the bigger error would be having a floor stain which is too close to your tile, but just a little off it. In my own home, I would rather choose the deeper tone that echoes the cabinets, rather than the pale stain.

Here is a picture of my dining room furniture on our old floor. At first, I was excited that the natural would provide some contrast and not match so much, but with the Tile, I am tending to agree with you. I feel like keeping it natural will be a whole rabbit trail of wanting to get rid of everything. lol

I also considered colonial maple since this floor pictured is the exact brand of ours, but my floor guy thought that colonial Maple would read a little pink

You can create contrast between the dining table and floor by adding a rug (a good rug that size isn't cheap, but cheaper than new furniture!)

Natural maple is pretty at first but it will yellow. A lot. I had kitchen cabinets that were a little less expensive in my first house. The end panels were actually laminate. Over the course of about 5 years, the maple had yellowed to the point that there was a marked difference in color between the doors and the end panels. You won't notice the yellowing as much in a darker color.
