For an oceanfront home, I’d focus on fiber cement or high quality composite shakethey give you the cedar look without the maintenance.

I agree fiber cement , not sure why a shake look but that material is for sure the best for ocean front

the only brand I've used is AZEK captivate. for my mid-atlantic coastal property.

Look beyond materials please. If your fasteners corrode from the salt air, you're screwed. Details matter.
