I took a shot at growing brugmansia seeds last fall indoors under grow lights. I got two to germinate (15% success rate) and they are doing well. But because brugs flower above a "Y", I'm wondering if I should prune it to create some branching. I don't want the entire plant to be a single "Y" either. How does this work? If I pinch the very top out, will that trigger some lateral growth elsewhere as well as a Y at the top?

They just started going outside last week when we had an unusual April warm spell. Now it's back to typical cool April so they will be in and out, getting used to the sun. The leaves are very thin.
