Whoever coordinates the arrangements with the art pieces sure has a good eye. Beautiful!

Such gorgeous arrangements inspired by the art. I searched to see how many were invovled in their making, and love that most of the were designed by garden clubs. Even more so, one STEM club of students. I only saw one florist shop in the list of 50 arrangements.

My friends and I were talking about how ”lucky” some designers were to be assigned certain art pieces. We saw some we thought were meh, but then we eavesdropped on a guided tour a few times and realized that, at least in one or two cases, they were better executed than our amateur eyes could see!

This one, IRL looked like something we could have put together in our kitchens, but in the photo it looks so much better. Still not my favorite but the colors really work.

We all loved this one.

Our library also does a ”books in bloom” — same idea but with books (obvs) instead of art. Always fun to see what people come up with.

That would be worth a trip to Boston!

@sueb, the first thing that struck me was how well the floral arrangements, especially the colors and mood, and to a big extent fhe overall composition, echoed the art. I love it!

I love how the flowers for the Alice Neel double portrait echo not only the palette but the general feel of the painting with the stems jutting above the main body of arrangement.

The San Francisco museum society does this every spring. It's called Bouquets to Art. It's always just beautiful, crowded, and well-done.

Ahh. I was wondering how well the flowers would have held up thru yesterday. Some were wilting already on Sat morning.

DH was at our cottage and brought home these from our yard. This was our first time bothering to plant bulbs in our yard there, and the tulips were looking good!

That is amazing. I saw someone on IG went to one in their community too. I think Memphis. I'd never heard of this before that IG story but it looks like it's a thing across the country. Who knew. Will keep an eye out. For me, it would make a museum trip much more interesting.
