Home Depot flooring

If anyone is on the fence about a big flooring purchase from Home Depot, DON’T DO IT!!!

Unless you have unlimited funds and don't mind throwing money away. We bought LVP from them. Did all the research, approved underlayment, carefully installed. I was assured at the store that they have a 1 year warranty, which is why i felt comfortable buying from them. A few months after it was done it started separating. I contacted Home Depot and after many phone calls to get you to the right person, he told us, yes it will be covered, you are inside the warranty. They sent out an inspector and we were told we’d get the report back in about a week. Never heard from them. After a long time of trying to reach they finally told us they could offer us a $1,000 gift card! We spent over $4,000 on the floor! No good reason, no results of report, nothing. Months later after trying to argue with them, all we could get was Sorry it looks like you declined the gift card, there’s nothing we can do. Home Depot knows your average person can’t afford a lawyer to get them to honor their ”warranty” and they take full advantage of that. This company is so unethical. I spent so many hours i didn’t have to waste just trying to get answers. Every time I look at my floor I’m reminded of how dishonest Home Depot is. I’m not sure if they offer the warranty hoping they will almost always come up with something in the inspection that will disqualify it? We couldn’t get them to tell us what the inspection said. Completely stonewalled. Home Depot can afford to do the right thing. I cannot afford to replace my floor. So we’re stuck with this. Hope I can keep someone else from ending up with this problem!
