That's a ton of wood. What did you think you were ordering? Why more wood?

Wood would be my last choice for floor. I would do a LVT that looks like slate or some kind of tile not wood. Not sure what you are doing right now but no way to mix those planks and make it work. I guess we need to understand what you were thinking.

They are wanting wood, slate wood be my first choice but in the kitchen and bathrooms they want to keep red tile. I got them to cut tile back to entrance of kitchen but could not get a switch to slate looking product.

Once you get the slate in they may like it enough to swap out the red tile. It happens.

It has a pitched ceiling in great room and sitting room and the bedrooms are 9’ ceiling. The front of entire house is glass sliders and windows.

Good chance the wood floors will fade quite quickly if the house has large windows without UV protection.

I think a cream tile, similar to the carpet color, would have been the way to go.

Who is "they?"

Have they shown you inspiration photos?

The only way more wood works is if the walls are painted (which isn't desired).

White oak LVP:

Above - they had some walls that were drywall (painted) - I still think that a slate floor would have looked much nicer.

Below - the wood floors have a mix of the wall color + the trim color - however, they mostly coordinate with the darker trim color:

^^They also added a dark wood stain to the staircase on the railing and newel post caps.

Below - same house - They have a lot of furniture/area rugs/hides in the home = it breaks up the wood:

Same house: they still broke up all of the wood by adding slate flooring in certain areas:

I assume that there is more of this darker trim in the cabin? If yes, you could do the same thing as what was done above by matching the floor to the darker trim:

If there isn't much of the darker trim pieces, I'd add them. The darker wide trim + darker window casing/trim is what makes the wood floor work in the second home shown above.

You could also change up the staircase a bit in order to break up all of the cedar.

More tile would never be a choice I would help someone make. It's so impossible to change and it is 100% unforgiving with things dropped, and on old joints!! The slate look LPV is a great idea!

The piano keys flooring was WRONGLY shipped and now a new selection is needed. I’m reattaching what it was supposed to be, this was what was ordered, but it came like the picture posted. It has since been ripped up but a new wood floor neede

The trim I think has darkened more then the boards overtime you can see in the picture below
