Your camellia is very likely beyond help. When an evergreen shrub - and that would include ALL camellias - loses all its leaves, it rarely ever returns to good health. It is most probably dead.

Thank you. I'm not giving up just yet. I did prune the upper branches and there is still green showing. Fingers crossed. :-)

You so nothing about cold damage so, the elephant in the room is camellias are generally hard to kill and is whatever factor that killed it, still present? Poor drainage in the new pot? Just guessing.

I had a camellia I was 100% sure was dead, it was freeze damaged and has had no green leaves since late February/Early March, and no leaves at all since mid-April. They all fell off. Imagine my shock yesterday at seeing new leaves sprouting from the lower stems! It would have been my first outright loss of a camellia in winter, ever. Which oddly enough wasn't a bother because it was one of the least favorite camellias I've ever bought. David Parks's catalog description sounded impressive, but I really didn't care for the look of it. Hybrid camellias have a lot of promise (I'd love a hardier version of 'Cornish Spring' and eventually plan to try to breed one) but this one was blah.
